Excel Quiz Bowl Scoresheets by Jon Pinyan

Here there are four versions of my Excel spreadsheet that can be used to keep score in quiz bowl. Each of these versions can be used in three ways: (1) Print out scoresheets to give to staff; the design is very intuitive; (2) Circulate the scoresheet by e-mail; staff can keep score on computer and then print out neat, filled-out scoresheets to take to headquarters; (3) Circulate the scoresheet by e-mail; staff can keep score on computer and then e-mail the file (or the statistics) to headquarters, producing a paperless tournament. All versions also have a wide range of error checking to catch mistakes such as awarding tossup points to multiple players, awarding -5 in PACE NSC format, awarding too many points on a bonus, and almost any other data entry mistake which results in a team's final score not equaling the calculated sums of tossup bonus and bonus points.

All scoresheets on this page are available for download and use free of charge. No credit is needed, but if you find them useful, please let me know. If you find an error or have an improvement to suggest, e-mail me at (my last name) @ gmail.com.

Scoresheet A: mACF

Download the XLSX file.
Perfect for almost all collegiate tournaments and most regular-season high school tournaments. Supports 20/20 games with 15-point powers and 5-point negs, with room for 6 players per team. Has space for sudden-death overtime.
Since this is the most common tournament format, and this scoresheet is the most likely to be used by novice scorekeepers/moderators (and this scoresheet has room), a specific column for registering protests is included.

Scoresheet C: NAQT

Download the XLSX file.
Perfect for official NAQT tournaments like SCT, HSNCT, and ICT. Provides space for 26 tossups, plus a 3-tossup overtime (followed by sudden death). Screenshots coming soon!

Scoresheet D: PACE

Download the XLSX file. Note that this file will be revised shortly.
Perfect for, well, PACE NSC and tournaments with that format. 20-point powers, and tracking of 0-point wrong answers (no negs). Currently has space for sudden-death overtime (next revision will support 3-cycle OT).
